We have gained another qualification: the certification of federal buildings according to BNB (= evaluation system for sustainable building of the Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building). From now on we can also certify buildings as sustainable according to BNB.
About the BNB: Between 2007 and 2008, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and the Federal Building Ministry jointly developed the German Sustainable Building Seal of Approval. After the first certifications in 2009, the Ministry of Building decided to develop its own system variant specifically for the requirements of federal buildings and to label it under its own brand "Evaluation System for Sustainable Building (BNB)".
The BNB is therefore an instrument for planning and evaluating sustainable and generally public building projects. It is characterized by the comprehensive consideration of the entire life cycle - taking into account the ecological, economic, socio-cultural quality as well as technical aspects and processes.
